Refresh Results

In the middle of February I noticed I was putting on some weight. I started a less active job, I wasn’t pushing myself in my workouts and I was cheating way to often on my diet. I knew I had to face the facts and make a change. I started my half marathon training and I wanted to be at a smaller start weight for speed. I needed to make a change from my bad eating habits and do something to kick start my healthy eating. I decided to give Beachbody’s 3 Day Refresh program a shot.

This program is a 3 day cleanse to help rid your toxins and feel refreshed. It’s a way to have a clean slate, drop a few pounds and break some bad habits.Since it’s only 3 days long, I figured I could suck it up for a few days.

The 3-day refresh consists of three daily shakes, a fiber drink, plenty of filtered water, plus a wide array of fresh fruits, vegetables and healthy fats throughout the day to keep your energy and metabolism going strong.

Well, I did it! And you know what, I feel great! The three days were challenging but it helped me to see that food doesn’t control me. I can push through my cravings!

A typical day of food looked like this:

Wake: 10 oz of filtered water

Breakfast (w/in 1 hour of wake): Vanilla Shakeology with strawberries

Delicious strawberry smoothie

Mid-Morning Snack (10): Fiber Sweep

Lunch (hour after snack):  veggies (cucumbers)  + 1 fruit (half a pear) + healthy fat (2 tbsp hummus) + Vanilla Refresh Shake

Afternoon Snack (2): 1 veggie (peppers) + healthy fat (2 tbsp avocado)

Dinner: Cucumber/Cherry Tomato salad + Organic Vegetable Broth + Vanilla Refresh

Water: Gallon of water

And drumroll please……

I lost 4 pounds and 8 inches on the refresh.

I gained knowledge about healthy eating habits, proper portion sizes and confidence.

Now as I said, the 3 Day Refresh isn’t easy but it’s totally doable! Here are a few tips to help you through:

Plan ahead: Prep your fruits, veggies and dinners for the three days. It will be much easier to stay on track if your foods are ready for you.

Fiber Sweep: Drink it fast! I blended mine up with the water so it would be easier to chug.

Vanilla Fresh: Add vanilla extract, cinnamon and ice to your vanilla fresh, it will make a huge difference!

Water: Drink a lot of water – you’ll get better results!

Sleep: Enjoy the sleep! I had the best sleep of my life while on the refresh. I woke up every morning before my alarm feeling great!
